“Morphy has not only captivated with her indie-pop sound, charming vocals, and bubbly personality, but she also released her debut studio album, Au, under Sony Music México this year, and was a two-time nominee at the Latin Grammys, ultimately winning the 2025 best new artist trophy. ” – Billboard
Paloma Morphy has quickly emerged as one of the most exciting new voices in Latin alternative pop. With her intimate songwriting, distinctive vocals, and emotionally honest approach to music, the Mexico City-born singer-songwriter has built a deeply personal artistic identity that has connected with a new generation of listeners in Mexico and beyond.
Before pursuing music full-time, Paloma spent four years working as a criminal defense attorney while nurturing her passion for music. In 2022, she began sharing covers on TikTok, where her voice quickly caught the attention of a growing audience and ultimately led her to leave law behind to pursue music. Her early releases included “La Idiota Soy Yo,” followed by “Lo que un día fue,” which surpassed one million plays within its first month and became an early breakthrough in her career.
In 2025, Paloma released her debut album, Au, a deeply personal project that further established her intimate approach to songwriting and distinctive artistic vision. The project helped propel her to more than 70 million global streams and a growing live audience, with her Au Tour selling out multiple dates across Mexico, including a sold-out show at the Lunario del Auditorio Nacional.
That same year, Paloma earned two nominations at the 2025 Latin GRAMMY Awards®, including Best Alternative Song for “(sola)”, and ultimately took home the award for Best New Artist. Her breakout year also earned her recognition as one of Rolling Stone’s Future of Music 25, Billboard Latin’s Latin Artist on the Rise, Apple Music Up Next 2025, Amazon Music ROMPE 2025, Spotify EQUAL 2025, and a Premios Juventud Artist to Watch. She was also nominated for Female New Artist of the Year at Premio Lo Nuestro 2026 and currently serves as an official Pepsi Black ambassador for Latin America.
Beyond her growing digital presence, Paloma continues to expand internationally through major live performances and cultural moments. Following appearances at Lollapalooza Chicago and Summer Sonic in Japan, as well as her campaign with Bershka, she is now stepping into her next creative chapter with her forthcoming sophomore album, Morphys. This weekend, she will take the stage at Austin City Limits Music Festival, before closing out the year with her first performances in Spain and Chile.
With a Latin GRAMMY® win, more than 70 million global streams, sold-out shows, international festival appearances, major industry recognition, and a new album on the way, Paloma Morphy continues to establish herself as one of the most exciting artists shaping the next generation of Latin pop.
