Honduran-American bilingual artist Lilly Yan was born in Hollywood, Florida, and is now based in Atlanta, Georgia. From an early age, her passion for music has driven her to craft an immersive and authentic sound. Inspired by the nostalgic synths of the 80s and the bold aesthetics of the 90s, Lilly blends synth-pop and alt R&B, crafting a genre-defying style that feels uniquely her own. Her multicultural identity and bilingual approach allow her to create music that resonates on a deep, emotional level while remaining irresistibly catchy.
Lilly’s musical journey began in 2018 with the release of her debut song, “Daydreamin,” but it was in 2020, after dropping her first Spanish-language single “Déjame,” that she truly found her artistic direction. The overwhelmingly positive response to her Spanish releases encouraged her to embrace bilingual songwriting. This transition and her long-term collaboration with producer Ivan Ruiz (FeelPanda) have helped her refine her signature sound—a mix of dreamy, synth-driven melodies and introspective storytelling. Her latest release, “Te Advertí”, continues this exploration, combining 90s pop influences with intimate, heartfelt lyricism.
Looking ahead, Lilly is gearing up for an exciting new chapter by releasing new singles from her upcoming EP. She remains committed to evolving her artistry while staying true to her signature style. Whether it’s through her infectious melodies, raw lyricism, or bilingual storytelling, Lilly Yan is creating a space for herself in the indie music scene, offering something fresh, real, and unforgettable.
